- [JP Paul](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/jp-paul/): Tenor JP Paul started singing professionally at the age of 8, singing with the Paducah Symphony Children’s Chorus and then the Western Kentucky Choral Ambassadors until graduating high school. He received a Master of Music in Classical Voice Performance from the University of Memphis. He sang with several young artist programs before starting a career in philanthropy (most recently joining the Primary Collaborative in November 2025). He is frequent soloist in Hampton Roads and Virginia, and recent operatic roles include “Man in Crowd” (Loving v. Virginia), Mayor Upfold (Albert Herring), and Beppe (Pagliacci), and others. Concert and recital credits include Rossini’s Petite messe sollenelle, Handel's Messiah, Haydn’s Missa in angustiis (Lord Nelson Mass), Beethoven's Symphony No. 9, Vaughan Williams' Serenade to Music, and many more. He is a member of the Virginia Chorale’s ongoing roster, was a part of Virginia Opera’s chorus from 2023 to 2025.

- [Nico Caruso](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/nico-caruso/): Kansas City native Nico Caruso is excited to be singing lead roles with Shakespeare Opera Theatre in both Susannah and Tartuffe. Nico recently graduated with his Master’s in Opera Theatre from the University of South Carolina where he studied with tenor Dominic Armstrong. Nico earned his Bachelor’s Degree of Music Education from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Nico stays involved in the operatic, musical theatre, and choral scenes both in and out of Kansas City and has performed lead roles in Kurt Weill’s Street Scene, Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi, and She Loves Me by Bock & Harnick. In addition to singing tenor in the chorus of the Lyric Opera of Kansas City, Nico also sings in a number of professionally recorded choral ensembles.
- [John Knox](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/john-knox/): John Knox (Elder Gleaton). This is John’s third performance with SOT. He previously appeared in the chorus of SOT's Amahl and the Night Visitors. John performed in stage musicals Oklahoma, South Pacific, How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying, and as King Pellinore in Camelot. John also sang in the United States Coast Guard Academy Men’s Glee Club, The Alexandria Singers, and St David’s Choir. John is a blues harmonica player and avid bicyclist. John served in the Coast Guard for 25 years and is semi-retired in Northern Virginia with his wife, Karen.
- [James Myers](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/james-myers/): James Myers, baritone, is pleased to appear as Olin Blitch in Susannah. He has performed with Washington National Opera at the Kennedy Center, Wolf Trap Opera, and Washington Concert Opera. Recent roles include Abimelech in Samson et Dalila, Count di Luna in Il trovatore, and Guglielmo in Così fan tutte. This past season, he also appeared as Usher in Gilbert and Sullivan’s Trial by Jury and as Dr. Falke in the Act II finale of Die Fledermaus. He received his bachelor of music from James Madison University in 2023. He has recently performed as Strephon in Gilbert and Sullivan’s Iolanthe, Liberto in Monteverdi’s L’incorranozione di Poppea, Sellem in Stravinsky’s The Rake’s Progress, Toby in Menotti’s The Medium, Paolino in Il Matrimonio Segreto, Monostatos in the LAH-SOW production of Die Zauberflöte, and most recently he performed as the Chevalier de la Force in UTK’s production of Dialogues des Carmélites.
- [Michael Pistorio](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/michael-pistorio/): Baritone Michael Pistorio is pleased to make his company and role debuts in Tartuffe with SOT. As an artist, Michael aims to bring modern finesse to classical singing by blending his "commanding voice" with intimate drama, making him an audience favorite. Recently, Michael has performed the roles of The Fence & Cantor in Considering Matthew Shepherd, Jim Young in the Mid-Atlantic premiere of Eric Whitacre's new Christmas chamber opera The Gift of the Magi, and as Joseph De Rocher in Dead Man Walking; as well as ensemble roles with Maryland Opera, Opera Baltimore, and Opera Delaware. Recent concert credits include Himmelskönig sei Willkommen and Johannespassion (JS Bach), Dixit Dominus and Magnificat (Vivaldi), Seven Songs of the Rubaiyat (Hailstork), among others. In addition to performing, Michael is a passionate Teaching Artist, Music Director of the historic St. Joseph's Monastery, and co-founder of Charm City Opera Retreat. - [Holly Breivik](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/holly-breivik/): Holly Breivik (soprano) is delighted to make her debut with Shakespeare Opera Theatre this summer! Holly has appeared as Meg in Verdi’s Falstaff and as a soloist in Handel’s Acis and Galatea, performing the latter in Spain and Portugal in October 2024. A seasoned soloist, she has sung with numerous choirs throughout Virginia and Texas and performed with The Washington Chorus. Holly holds an MM in Vocal Performance from Shenandoah University, where she studied with Lori Sen and David Meyer. She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Mary Washington with Kathy Ahearn and now teaches voice there. Additional teachers include Kerry Wilkerson and Daniel Talamantes. Outside the opera world, Holly performs with the folk group Celtic Machinations and recently embraced her inner chaos as Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd. She is based in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
- [Kristine Overman](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/kristine-overman/): Kristine Overman is an American French soprano who was most recently seen on the stage of the Metropolitan Opera in New York competing in the 2026 national semifinal round of the Laffont Competition. This summer, she’s excited to make two role debuts, first as Gilda in Rigoletto with Heartland Opera, and then with Shakespeare Opera Theatre as the title role in Susannah. Kristine enjoys spending time in her Kansas City home, which she shares with her partner, tenor Nico Caruso (who plays Sam in this production!)
- [Monica Niemi](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/monica-niemi/): Lauded for her “brilliant voice,” Monica Niemi has performed operatic, concert, and musical theatre repertoire across the United States, Canada, Europe, and South America. In 2024, Monica was seen as Lady Macbeth with Shakespeare Opera Theatre. Monica originated the role of Anna Milder in the award-winning, world premiere production of Beethoven’s Wrong Note. In 2023, Monica was a soloist on Marshall Opera’s first Oral History Project concert in New York City, performing from Louis Karchin’s opera Jane Eyre. Monica has sung the roles of Mrs. Gobineau (The Medium) at the Phoenicia International Festival of the Voice and the title role in Ariadne auf Naxos with dell’Arte Opera Ensemble. Monica’s musical theatre background includes multiple roles with the Missoula Children’s Theatre National and International Tours. When not singing, Monica enjoys hiking and the serious consideration of adopting every cat she comes across. Monica studies with internationally renowned mezzo-soprano Victoria Livengood.
- [Emily Warren](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/emily-warren/): Emily Warren, mezzo-soprano, is a versatile vocalist and actress whose repertoire spans from early music through contemporary works. Notable performance credits include Stephano in Roméo et Juliette, Sesto in Giulio Cesare, and most recently, Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro. In 2025, she appeared as the Nursing Sister in Suor Angelica and as alto soloist in Lina Braghetta-Piozzi’s Missa Sanctae Heracleae with Valkyrie Ensemble, and sang the title role in Gilbert and Sullivan’s Iolanthe with Great Lakes Operetta. Ms. Warren has performed with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Utah Valley Operafest, and as part of the American Handel Festival. An accomplished performer of new music, she has premiered opera and art song with New Voices Opera and has sung as a member of the contemporary vocal ensemble NOTUS. She received her Master of Music and Performer’s Diploma from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.
- [Eliana Berrean](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/eliana-berrean/): Eliana Berrean has been singing since age 9. She performed all over her hometown of Brevard county Florida in fundraisers, concerts, benefits, and the occasional baseball game. She started auditioning for musicals in her local community theater, where she fell in love with performing. She’s studied/worked under some of the greats in the field including Diana Soviero, Ruth Falcon, Beth Roberts, and Nadine Sierra. She has her bachelor degree in opera from Mannes School of Music in NYC. She’s also sung in many concerts/operas in programs around the US, France, and Italy. Some of her favorite roles have been Hansel in Hansel and Gretel, and Stephano in Romeo and Juliette. Eliana aspires to sing opera all around the world, and be a part of the continuation of the art form.
- [Emily Rich](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/emily-rich/): Emily Rich is a professional Mezzo-Soprano based in Norwalk, CT. Her voice has been described as rich, plummy, healthy, full, creamy and thrilling. From a young age, Emily’s passion has been to sing, perform and to entertain. Emily Rich has performed with Cedar Rapids Opera, Sarasota Opera, Pittsburgh Opera, the Land of Enchantment Opera Institute, Opera Breve, the Bologna International Opera Institute, and the Vann Vocal Institute. She received her Master of Music in Voice Performance from Indiana University’s Jacob’s School of Music and her Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Emily recently made her debut as Lola in Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana with Sotto Voce Opera in March of 2026 and is looking forward to singing Elmire and Mrs. McLean in Shakespeare Opera Theatre’s productions of Tartuffe and Susannah this summer.
- [Lily Scalisi](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/lily-scalisi/): Mezzo-soprano Lily Scalisi is a Louisiana native who holds a Master of Music degree from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. She has appeared with the Louisiana State University Turner-Fischer Center for Opera and CCM Opera, performing and covering roles such as Dorabella in Mozart’s Così fan tutte, Suor Zelatrice in Puccini’s Suor Angelica, and Ruth in Nico Muhly’s contemporary opera Dark Sisters. She has also performed with Cincinnati Opera, including appearances in Liverpool Oratorio and the company’s Opera Fusion: New Works program. An avid concert artist, Lily has been featured as the alto soloist in Bach’s Christ lag in Todesbanden with the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra, the mezzo-soprano soloist in Duruflé’s Requiem with the Cincinnati May Festival Chorus, and the mezzo-soprano soloist in Handel’s Messiah with Collegium Cincinnati. She is deeply passionate about creating art, specifically in the forms of opera and choral music.
- [Zoë Schall](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/zoe-schall/): Zoë Schall is excited to make her operatic debut in Hansel & Gretel. In her spare time, she sings in chamber chorus at her middle school. She also plays french horn in symphonic band. On weekends, she sings with the grammy-award winning National Children's Chorus. Prior choral performances include performing at Radio City Music Hall for the Christmas Spectacular, singing the National Anthem at Madison Square Garden for a Harlem Globetrotters game, and singing that National Anthem for a Mets/Phillies baseball game. Her heavy metal singing was featured in Rolling Stone magazine. She is delighted to participate in this spectacular performance.

Gwen hails originally from Williamsport, PA and is so excited to be working with Shakespeare Opera Theatre. Gwen received her Bachelor's degree from Marywood University under the instruction of Ellen Rutkowski and Dr. Rick Hoffenberg. She received her Master's degree from Shenandoah Conservatory in 2018, where she studied with Dr. Aimé Sposato, Robert Thieme, and Natalie Conte. Gwen is currently instructed by Jaclyn Surso, a graduate from UNCSA. ​ Gwen has also worked with acclaimed opera singer Aprile Millo, maestro Richard Bonynge, and La Scala director Marco Gandini in Millo’s Operavision D’Oro program. She is also a two-time winner for the North CarolPast roles include Contessa in Le Nozze di Figaro, La Suora Infermeria in Suor Angelica, Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi, Lucy in The Telephone, and Anne in A Little Night Music.

He has performed many roles, including Papageno in The Magic Flute, Schaunard in La Bohème, and Figaro in The Barber of Seville. His credits include WNO, Wolf Trap, Washington Concert Opera, and Opera Lafayette. He performed previously with SOT as Peter in Hansel and Gretel.
- [Natalie Turner](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/natalie-turner/): Natalie Turner is a mezzo soprano from Warwick, Rhode Island currently based in Baltimore, Maryland. Natalie has portrayed many notable pants roles, including Enfant in Ravel’s “L’Enfant et sortilège,” Cherubino in Mozart’s “Le Nozze di Figaro,” Hänsel in Humperdinck’s “Hänsel und Gretel,” Orlovsky in Strauss’ “Die Fledermaus,” and Ottone in Monteverdi’s “L’incoronazione di Poppea.” Also passionate about Oratorio Natalie has been the Alto soloist in Beethoven’s 9th Symphony under the baton of Marin Alsop, and performed Orff’s Carmina Burana at Wolf Trap. Natalie earned her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from SUNY Purchase and her Master of Music in vocal performance from the Peabody Conservatory at Johns Hopkins University. Natalie received the Anita Erdman Award for Opera from the Peabody Conservatory.
- [Amanda Densmoor](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/amanda-densmoor/): Originally from Bogor, Indonesia, soprano Amanda Densmoor has been praised for her "clarion voice" which "soared to new heights" (Parterre Box). She was recently featured as a soloist on Jakarta Simfonia Orchestra’s US tour, making her debuts at Carnegie Hall, Walt Disney Concert Hall, Marian Anderson Hall at the Kimmel Center, and The Music Center at Strathmore. As a regular performer with Annapolis Opera, Amanda has been seen as Girl in Bernstein’s Trouble in Tahiti, Papagena in Die Zauberflöte, and as a bridesmaid in Le nozze di Figaro. Other roles include Queen of the Night (Die Zauberflöte), Servilia (La clemenza di Tito), Nella (Gianni Schicchi), Suor Genovieffa (Suor Angelica), and Patience (Patience). As a concert soloist, Amanda has sung Orff’s Carmina Burana, Carissimi’s Jephte, Fauré’s Requiem, and Mozart’s Requiem. Amanda is a cantor and member of the professional choir at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.

Previously on the faculties at James Madison University, Meredith College and University of Mary Washington, Kraus now freelances around DMV. In addition to regular concert performances, Kraus is known for his #Respite recordings. He teaches and coaches in person and over the internet at his Rockville studio, where as collaborator, he has a long history of helping aspiring artists produce award winning results. He lives in Rockville with his wife, Christine and his comfort animal, Max, a 114 pound Great Pyrenees mix.

She is a high schooler based in Falls Church, VA, and loves to perform. Her past opera credits include Jungle Book, (Washington National Opera, children's chorus), and Turandot (WNO, children's chorus). She also enjoys musical theater, and has been in various shows. Along with theater, she plays piano, harp, tenor guitar, and softball. She would like to thank her family, friends, and her voice teacher, Wesley Diener, for their support.
- [Melissa Dyette](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/melissa-dyette/): Melissa holds a Master's degree in Music from Temple University Boyer College of Music and Dance, a Bachelor’s degree in Music from Shenandoah Conservatory of Music where she received the Wind Ensemble Award in 2012, and in 2021 she completed her certification in k-12 music education from Notre Dame of Maryland University, where she received the honor of becoming a member of Kappa Delta Pi. She has studied voice with Kathryn Green, Jennifer Cherest-Flory, and Bree Nichols, and studied clarinet with Garrick Zoeter and Sam Caviezel. She currently performs with the Chamber Chorale of Fredericksburg and has performed with companies throughout DC, Maryland and Virginia, such as Bel Cantanti Opera Chorus, Opera Camerata Chorus, Teatro Lirico Chorus, Stafford Opera Troupe where she starred as Cinderella in their 2019 production of Cendrillon, Southern Maryland Light Opera Company Chorus for Naughty Marietta and The Mikado, and starred as Gretel in their 2008 production of Hansel and Gretel, played the role of Mother in the College of Southern Maryland’s production of Ragtime in 2018, and was Puck in Capitol Hill Arts Workshop’s 2017 production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Melissa has been teaching privately for 13 years and is currently a General Music and Choir director with Charles County Public Schools. She resides in VA with her husband Norman and their daughter Willow.
- [Sommer Schaap](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/sommer-schaap/): Sommer Schaap (Assistant Stage Manager, Choreographer, Sampson) is an emerging theatre artist in the DMV, making her debut with Shakespeare Opera Theatre. She was a John Cauble Short Play Finalist through the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival in 2023 for her one act, Almost Lifelong. Sommer is currently a Teaching Artist with The Keegan Theatre and will teach drama at Bancroft Elementary in the upcoming school year. She is from southwest Minnesota and has a BA in Theatre Arts, with an emphasis in Acting and Directing from Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa. In her free time, she enjoys watching movies, baking cakes, and playing with her cat, Bob.

Her previous work includes stage managing Ethiopia (INSeries Opera) and directing A Midsummer Night's Dream at Nothwestern High School while teaching Drama as well. Mikayla Graduated from Shenandoah University with her BFA in Theatre Design and Production in December of 2023. - [Donnette Rimmer](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/donnette-rimmer/): Soprano Donnette Rimmer is delighted to return to SOT for her second production. (She appeared as Lady Lennox in Macbeth in 2024). Originally from California, she has lived in the Washington DC area for most of her adult life. She has served as a soloist and section leader at several churches in DC and N. VA and performs regularly with local early music ensembles. Also a violinist and aspiring celtic harper, her musical opportunities have taken her to choral and instrumental ensembles in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, Boston, Rome, the Loire Valley, and the Scottish Highlands. A retired attorney, Donnette specialised in international trade and intellectual property rights for the federal government.

A devoted trouser role enthusiast, credits include Hansel (Hansel and Gretel with SOT), the Page (Rigoletto with Austin Opera & Opera San Antonio), Orfeo (Orfeo ed Euridice with Opera McGill), Annio (La clemenza di Tito with LOLA), Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro with LAHSOW), and the Boy in The Boy Who Wanted to Be a Robot (One Ounce Opera). A multi-genre artist based in NYC, Julie is thrilled to call the DMV an additional artistic home. Upcoming DMV performances include work with the Wolf Trap Opera chorus (Carmen) and the Washington National Opera chorus (Aida). A special shoutout to her partner, A, and her Virginia family, the 4 A’s, for all their support on her SOT operatic adventure!
- [Catie Brooks](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/catie-brooks/): Catie Brooks is ecstatic to make her debut with Shakespeare Opera Theater as Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet. Catie is a vocalist, voice teacher, and actor currently based in Washington, D.C, and come fall she’ll be attending New York University for her Master of Music Degree in Vocal Pedagogy. Previous credits include Deb in Ordinary Days and Jacqueline in Muse: The Women of Picasso with Chameleon Theater Collective, Lucille in Monsieur et Madame Denise with Chicago Summer Opera, Phyllis in Iolanthe, and Despina in Cosi Fan Tutte to name a few. Later this summer Catie will be singing in the chorus of Carmina Burana with the National Symphony Orchestra at Wolf Trap. Catie holds a dual Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance and Music Theatre from James Madison University and currently studies with Danielle Talamantes. Despite her busy musical schedule, Catie still finds ample time to brag about her adorable rescue pitbull, Mango.
- [Louise Andersen](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/louise-andersen/): Mezzo-soprano Louise Anderson is thrilled to return to Shakespeare Opera Theatre as Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet, having previously performed with the company as Third Witch and Young Siward in Macbeth. Louise made her operatic debut at the age of nine in the children’s chorus of Macbeth at the Royal Swedish Opera, and has since appeared with companies including Norwegian National Opera, Danish National Opera, Opera San José, PASS Artist Residency New York, and Snug Harbor Cultural Center on Staten Island. She holds a Master’s degree from Manhattan School of Music, where she studied with Professor Mark Schnaible, and previously trained at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts. As an actor, she has also trained at Stella Adler Art of Acting Studio in Los Angeles and T. Schreiber Studio in New York. Louise is a prizewinner in the Alan M. and Joan Taub Ades Vocal Competition and the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition. Upcoming: Young Artist at Confidencen (summer 2025) and a feature film premiere (One of the Girls) in September 2025 where she plays one of the leads.
- [Nickolas James](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/nickolas-james/): Nickolas James is an American tenor lauded for his uniquely bright timbre and charismatic performances. He has performed a multitude of principle roles across a wide range of styles including Lurcanio (Ariodante), Male Chorus (Lucretia), White Rabbit (A.L.I.C.E.), and many more. He has had the pleasure of working with and learning from prominent artists and educators including Dr. Arnold Rawls, Dr. Kathryn Leemhuis (Boyer College of Music and Dance), Reggie Smith, Ben Robinson (Anchorage Opera), and Dr. Chuck Chandler (DePaul University). A Dallas, Texas native, Nickolas earned his Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the Boyer College of Music and Dance in 2024 and is currently residing in Philadelphia with the best dog that ever lived, Whiskey. This production is Nickolas’ Shakespeare Opera Theater debut and he is so excited to take part in presenting this brilliant production of a timeless classic.
- [Joseph McBrayer](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/joseph-mcbrayer/): Joseph McBrayer, originally from Dallas, Georgia, praised by critics for his “polished lyric tenor,” is pleased to be making his role and company debut as Romeo with Shakespeare Opera Theatre. In the 2022-23 season, Mr. McBrayer began his residency as a studio artist with Florida Grand Opera, where he stayed through the 23-24 season and performed the roles of Beppe (Pagliacci), Gastone (La Traviata), Paolino (El Matrimonio Secreto), and Gherardo (Gianni Schicchi), before traveling to Santa Fe to create the role of The Mayor of Santa Fe in Joe Illick’s new opera, Zozobra’s Revenge. Mr. McBrayer has also worked with Vero Beach Opera, Capitol City Opera, and The Atlanta opera, among others. He studied voice at Kennesaw State University, then on to Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music. He is currently based out of Milwaukee with his wife Hayley, herself an accomplished soprano.
- [Chelsea Alexandra](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/chelsea-alexandra/): Chelsea Alexandra is thrilled to make her first appearance with Shakespeare Opera Theatre, debuting with the role of Juliet. Raised on the island of Oahu, Chelsea is now a Utah-based soprano who recently graduated with her Masters from the University of Utah. Her latest roles have been Micaëla in Bizet’s Carmen with Lyrical Opera Theater where she debuted the previous year with the role of Mimì from Puccini’s La Bohème. Her fondness for Puccini grew in Novafeltria, Italy, where she first performed the role of Mimì overseas. Since then, she has portrayed the titular role in Massenet’s Cendrillon, The Mother in Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors, Lauretta in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi, Fiordiligi from Mozart’s Così fan tutte and Violetta from Verdi’s La traviata. Outside of performing, Chelsea loves to scuba dive and is passionate about empowering women through holistic approaches to sexual health and healing.
- [Ashlyn Rock](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/ashlyn-rock/): Known for her “crystalline voice,” soprano Ashlyn Rock makes her SOT debut as Juliet. After completing her Masters and Artist Diploma in Opera at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, Rock recently moved back to the DMV area and since has performed locally with Trinity Chamber Orchestra, Bel Cantanti Opera, Washington Concert Opera, and Wolf Trap Opera. She made her debut at Carnegie Hall last April with the Gerda Lissner Foundation. Her performances include Marie Celeste/Duchess Christina in Philip Glass’ Galileo Galilei; Sister Constance de St. Denis (Dialogues des Carmélites); Miss Lightfoot (Fellow Travelers), Micaëla (Carmen), Isabela (La hija de Rappaccini), and soloist in John Mackey's Songs from the End of the World for soprano and wind symphony. When she is not studying music, Ashlyn spends time caring for her adorable pet rabbit, Reginald. She also enjoys practicing yoga, hiking and camping, biking, writing poems, reading, and working on publishing her own book.
- [Tim Vinson](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/tim-vinson/): Tim Vinson is thrilled to serve as Production Assistant for not only his first show with SOT, but his first production in the NOVA area. Tim previously worked as Waynesboro Area Senior High Schools Lead Director. He also sat on the board of directors at Hagerstown’s Authentic Community Theater as their Historian, Play Program Manager, and Educators. Other credits include teaching at Totem Pole Playhouse, and directing at The Roving Peregrine Theatre. This has been a wonderful welcome to the area!

Theatre and writing have always been part of my life and playwriting marries my two loves in an amazing way. While my playwriting career is still young, I am a published playwright who has been produced - nationally and internationally - in professional, educational, community, and Fringe venues. I also have an MFA in Creative Writing with a focus in Playwriting from Wilkes University.
- [Karina Hilleard](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/karina-hilleard/): Karina Hilleard is an accomplished actor and director. Local credits include: the Washington National Opera at the Kennedy Center (Turandot), Shakespeare Theatre Company (Tartuffe), Rorschach Theater (Night of the Living Dead), Synetic Theater (Cinderella, Treasure Island), Theater Alliance (Wonderful World of Dissocia, Helen Hayes Nomination - Outstanding Lead Actress), Constellation Theatre Company (Equus, Helen Hayes Nomination - Outstanding Play), Chesapeake Shakespeare (Richard II, Christmas Carol). Internationally, she has appeared at the Bristol Old Vic (Heresies), Theatre Royal Bath (No Blind Faith) and others. Monologue Madness Champion (2013), Karina is also the Performing Arts Chair at Landon School in Bethesda, MD, where she mentors young talent. She is thrilled to join the company of Drowning Ophelia.
- [Sarah Daniels](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/sarah-daniels/): Sarah Daniels, lyric coloratura soprano and actor, has been lauded by critics for both her “pinpoint musicianship” (Opera News) and her “enviable swagger” (New York Classical Review) on the stage. Favorite opera roles include Chunky in the world premiere of Chunky in Heat (Experiments in Opera), Monica in The Medium (Chelsea Opera, City Lyric Opera), Constance in Dialogues of the Carmelites (Bronx Opera), and The Rooster in The Cunning Little Vixen (dell’Arte Opera Ensemble). Theatre/film roles include Molly/Karen in Charles L Mee’s absurdist play Bedtime Stories, Allison in Xeniathan: A Movie Musical, and Anne in A Little Night Music. Sarah has worked with composers Jason Cady, Matthew Welch, Alex Temple, Melanie Richards, and Raven Chacon on new solo and chamber works. An alum of Manhattan School of Music where she majored in classical vocal performance, Sarah also studied acting at Stella Adler, HB Studios, SITI Company, and currently with actor/director Tina Mitchell (of Sleep No More and SITI Company) focusing on the physical acting techniques Suzuki, Viewpoints, and Laban. Sarah currently studies voice under Francesca Mondanaro.
- [Jessa Whitley-Hill](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/jessa-whitley-hill/): Jessa Whitley-Hill was most recently seen in Pipeline Playwrights’ To Be Still as Jane, as Marci in Almost, Maine with The Arlington Players and Lottie in Enchanted April with the Providence Players. Other past roles include: Proof (Claire), A Bright Room Called Day (Agnes), and Peter & the Starcatchers (Sánchez, Hawking Clam). She also played Rona in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee with the Starstuff Theatre Collective. Jessa is most proud of helping to build a community theatre and education program in her small hometown in West Virginia. She sends her thanks to the friends who support her and lovingly bullied her into getting back out there and auditioning again.
- [Quimby Lind](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/quimby-lind/): Quimby is a thirteen year old long-haired miniature dachshund with a love for the stage. He previously performed in 2017s A Midsummer Night's Dream with Shakespeare Opera Theatre, and is pleased to be making this appearance as Musetta's dog in their La vie de Bohème. When not on stage, Quimby enjoys running, eating treats and receiving belly rubs. Critics and audiences alike say he is a very good boy.
- [Laura Sage](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/laura-sage/): Opera singer, violinist, web developer, graphic designer, and master multitasker, Laura has starred in obscure operas, founded two opera companies (because one wasn't crazy enough), and juggles a career in web development & design while freelancing for nonprofits and artists. Her household is a zoo with a parade of dogs and cats, and she spends her free time painting everything in sight and trying to clean up after her menagerie. An ADHD-addled, middle-aged, leftist single mom in the conservative South (Chattanooga, TN), Laura lives for Dr. Pepper & Little Debbie Snack Cakes, loathes water and the gym, and yet is perpetually perplexed by her mysterious menopausal weight gain. Despite the chaos, she remains a Renaissance woman with a sharp wit and a healthy (ok, maybe more than healthy) dose of sarcasm thrown in for good measure.
- [Vincent Fung](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/vincent-fung/): Vincent Fung is a bass-baritone based in Washington, D.C. lauded for “delivering a powerful, richly timbred voice with emotionally moving nuances” (ODB Opéra) and for “standing out with his confident baritone” (DC Theater Arts). He has previously appeared with Shakespeare Opera Theatre as Schaunard in La Vie de Bohème and Paris (Friar Lawrence/Prince cover) in Romeo and Juliet. Other notable roles include Vodník (Rusalka), Sarastro (Die Zauberflöte), Dulcamara (L’elisir d’amore), and Bartolo (Le nozze di Figaro). Enjoying a versatile classical music career, Vincent sings with Washington National Opera and Washington Concert Opera, has performed with Loudoun Lyric Opera and Washington Opera Society, and has been a soloist and chorister for various ensembles, with recent engagements taking him from Philadelphia to Miami to Prague. Originally from San Francisco, he holds an Artist Diploma and a Master of Music from The Catholic University of America and studies voice with Rick Christman.
- [Xavier Flory](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/xavier-flory/): Virginia native and tenor Xavier Flory made his SOT debut as Macduff and Malcolm in Macbeth. He kicked off his career as a soprano soloist with the Vienna Boys Choir, performing at the Wiener Staatsoper and with the Vienna Philharmonic under maestros like Riccardo Muti, Seiji Ozawa, and Zubin Mehta. Many years after his role as one of the three boys in Die Zauberflöte, he’s sang Tamino in Toronto this past summer. Xavier holds a double PhD in Political Theory from Columbia University and Sciences Po Paris and teaches political philosophy with the Bard Prison Initiative.
- [Conner McWhirter](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/conner-mcwhirter/): Conner McWhirter, Tenor, is starting his 2024-2025 season as a resident Artist with Shreveport Opera. He was most recently an apprentice artist with Sarasota Opera, where he covered Arturo in Lucia di Lammermoor. He received a performance diploma from Indiana University, where he performed Tybalt in Gounod’s Romeo et Juliette, and the Torero in Ainadamar. Additional roles include the Prince in Russalka, the Duke in Rigoletto, Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni, and Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi. He received his MM from SMU and BM from Eastman. He is thrilled to be performing Remendado in Carmen (covering Don Jose) as well as Spoletta in Tosca during his residency with Shreveport Opera.
- [Nicholas Carratura](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/nicholas-carratura/): Nicholas Carratura comes from a small town in northern New Jersey. While finishing his Undergraduate degree at Rutgers University, he became a young artist at the Castleton Festival in Rappahannock county Virginia. He was a young artist there for four seasons. During his fourth season, he started his Graduate studies at Shenandoah University just down the road in Winchester VA. During his time at SU and beyond, Nicholas has worked with many opera companies along the east coast. Nicholas has also been a voice teacher and a church musician since 2012. Along with classical music, Nicholas loves classic rock, jazz, Standards, and show tunes. He is also a die hard NY Giants fan.
- [Bry Toll](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/bry-toll/): Bry Toll is a light lyric coloratura soprano based in the D.C. Metropolitan area. She completed her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance at James Madison University, where she performed a variety of roles such as Casilda from Gilbert & Sullivan’s The Gondoliers, and Valletto from Monteverdi’s L’incoronazione di Poppea, becoming known for her silvery tone, comedic mannerisms, and unique interpretations. Her craft has brought her abroad to Germany, having performed the roles of Papagena and Zweite Knabe in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte and Barbarina in Le nozze di Figaro with the Lyric Opera Studio Weimar. She has also been involved in several projects with the Shakespeare Opera Theatre in Mclean, VA to cover several roles in Verdi’s Macbeth. Her upcoming performances include the soprano soloist in Fauré’s Requiem and will be covering Musetta in SOT's production of La vie de Bohème.
- [Amalia Crevani](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/amalia-crevani/): Amalia Crevani, soprano is a graduate of the Yale School of Music, DePauw University and Juilliard School. She has performed at the National Opera Center, Lincoln Center, and Carnegie Hall as well as in Italy and France. Amalia studied at L'Accademia Chigiana in 2023 and performed at the Aspen Music Festival and School in 2022 & 2024. Recent performances include “Lauretta” in Gianni Schicchi, Anna II in Weill’s Die sieben Todsünden and and Villa-Lobos’ Bachianas brasileiras with chamber ensemble. This summer, Amalia performed Bach’s cantata BWV 51: Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen, with Maestro Nic McGegan in the concert, A Baroque Evening, which was streamed live on Medici TV. Awards include: James Toland Vocal Arts Competition 2024 (Semifinalist); Opera Grand Rapids Competition 2021 (Finalist); NATS 2021 (National Semifinalist); Camille Coloratura Awards 2020 & 2022 (Finalist/Encouragement); and the Laffont Competition 2019 (Encouragement).
- [Simone Brown](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/simone-brown/): Simone Brown is a Maryland native and Sherwood Highschool Alum with both a BM and MM from Xavier University of Louisiana and Peabody Conservatory. Last seen on the Operatic Stage with Charlottesville Opera in The Sound of Music and The Merry Widow, at the Kennedy Center with Opera Nova’s Black History Concerts, in recital and concert with The Denyce Graves Foundation, at Good Shepherd Church, and Lyrica Classic Entertainment. Simone has also performed with Olney Theatre Center’s Helen Hayes winning regional premiere of Fela!, the Helen Hayes nominated cast of Into The Woods with Signature Theatre, Keegan Theatre as Kate in Good People, at Toby’s Dinner Theater as an ensemble member and understudy for Rachel Marron in The Bodyguard, Heather Chandler in HCC’s The Heathers, and the Kensington Arts Theater production of Sweeney Todd as Johanna. She is an active performer of classical music, opera, and video game music. Recent highlights include performing as a chorister and “Heavensward” Soloist in the Distant Words concert series (March ’24), as a chorister in the Nier concert series (October ’24), and as a chorister and soloist with the Washington Metropolitan Gamer Symphony Orchestra (WMGSO). She serves WMGSO as the soprano section leader and formerly served SOT as a volunteer producer. Isabella enjoys collaborating with local groups like overtone singers Harmonic Introduction and Hot Pot Productions for events like the Baltimore 48 Hour Film Festival and improv concerts. Past opera credits include Madame Pompous (Too Many Sopranos), Mimi (La Boheme), Rosalinda (Die Fledermaus), Fairy 1 (The Fairy Queen), and Enone (La descente d’Orphée aux enfers). Isabella holds a BA in Voice from UMBC, and is a voice student of Dr. Lori Lind.

Recent highlights include Mimì in La bohème with Shakespeare Opera Theatre, Miss Titmouse in Too Many Sopranos with Cedar Rapids Opera, and she looks forward to returning to the role of Gertrude for the upcoming performances of Hansel and Gretel. She has also appeared in works by Beethoven, Brahms, and Smyth with the Clarion Choir and the Cathedral Choral Society. A passionate advocate for new music, Alicia frequently collaborates with composer Garth Baxter, with whom she recorded From the Heart: Three American Women. Beyond the stage, she is an engaging educator at Opal Music Studio in Alexandria, VA. Originally from Illinois, Alicia is a proud dog mom to Ollie and loves to unwind by hiking and baking something sweet. She holds degrees from the Peabody Institute and Augustana College and is based in Washington, DC.

He is very excited to return to SOT for their production of Roméo et Juliette. Last summer with SOT he made his debut as Banco in Verdi’s Macbeth. Justin has performed roles with several reputable opera companies throughout the United States including Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, Sarasota Opera, Central City Opera, Shreveport Opera, Teatro Grattacielo, Bronx Opera, Tundi Productions inc., Opera Magnifico, New Jersey Lyric Opera, and St Petersburg Opera. He is currently based in Waco, Texas and got his education at Northwestern University. When he is not performing he enjoys spending time with his beautiful girlfriend Olivia Currier (Gertrude).

- [Sonia Bronder](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/sonia-bronder/): Audiences will recognize Sonia from her star turn as Cassio in SOT's 2022 production of Othello. Donning the mustache once again, this time as the ever-conniving Don John, she is over the moon to return to working with such a dynamic and talented cast and fantastic crew. Her love for Shakespeare and opera makes this company a perfect fit. Sonia splits her time between performing onstage and working behind the scenes for theatrical productions, both at the professional and community level. Most recently, she directed Our Town at Fauquier Community Theater to great acclaim. When she last tread the boards, ironically as Don Pedro in Much Ado About Nothing, she earned a best supporting actress nomination. Sonia loves to spend her free time with her family, John, Gwen and Ellie. It’s their love and support that keeps her working in theater and moving forward, for which she’s eternally grateful.
- [Olivia Currier](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/olivia-currier/): Olivia Currier is a mezzo-soprano originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Following her tenure as an Apprentice Artist at the Sarasota Opera, she made her Shakespeare Opera Theatre debut as Béatrice in Béatrice et Bénédict/Much Ado About Nothing. Since then, Currier has been an SOT favorite, covering Gertrude and The Gingerbread Witch in Hansel and Gretel, and performing as a a soloist on the Jim Galloway Memorial Concert. This summer, she will cover the roles of Roßweiße in Die Walküre and Zweite Norn in Götterdämmerung at TUNDI Productions' Wagner in Vermont Festival, and will travel to Berlin, Germany as a Frank Nemhauser Vocal Apprentice with Berkshire Choral International. Olivia holds a degree from Texas Tech University and currently resides in Waco, Texas. She is now in her graduate studies at Baylor University. When not on stage, Olivia loves to travel, write, and spend time with her amazing partner, Justin Ramm-Damron!
- [Kelly Monteith](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/kelly-monteith/): Originally from Williamsburg, Virginia, soprano Kelly Monteith graduated from Philadelphia's Temple University with the Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance. During her time at Temple, she performed the role of Barbarina in Le Nozze di Figaro and covered the role of Almera in Nico Muhly's Dark Sisters. Other notable roles include Susanna (cover) in Le Nozze di Figaro and Annabel in the European premiere of Paul Richard's Mondo Novo with the Vienna Summer Music Festival, as well as Celia in Handel's Silla with Chicago Summer Opera. During her undergraduate studies at George Mason University, she performed in six mainstage productions, including Belinda (cover) in Dido and Aeneas and Leila in Gilbert and Sullivan's Iolanthe. Most recently, she was seen in the chorus of Opera Baltimore and Opera Delaware's joint production of La Traviata. Hero in Much Ado About Nothing/Béatrice et Bénêdict marks Kelly's debut with Shakespeare Opera Theatre, and she is excited to perform in this beautiful and unique production.
- [Marieke de Koker](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/marieke-de-koker/): A native of South Africa, Marieke de Koker is a New York City-based mezzo-soprano. Her 2022/23 season included Speaker in AGAMEMNON (Theatre for a New Audience), Cloud in the world premiere of Iceland (Overtone Industries), Liza Elliott in Lady in the Dark (Bronx Opera Outreach) and Giunone in La Calisto (Mannes Opera). Also In 2023 she won the DePaul Concerto competition with her original song cycle Never Again (2021) based on poetry by Valentine Kizito. In 2021 Marieke was an Emerging Artist at the Windybrow Arts Center in South Africa where she was interviewed on the ETV morning show. She has also appeared with RSG radio, Brooklyn Theatre TV, Gauteng Philharmonic, Career Bridges, Johannesburg Opera, Really Spicy Opera, Windy City Performing Arts, and the Art Song Preservation Society of New York, among others. She is delighted to be making her debut in the title role of Béatrice in Much Ado About Nothing/Béatrice et Bénédict with Shakespeare Opera Theater.
- [Mallory Furgal](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/mallory-furgal/): A native Virginian who resides in Middleburg, Mallory began her career with SOT as an intern Assistant Stage Manager before moving up to staff Assistant Stage Manager. She now makes her debut as SOT's Stage Manager with Much Ado About Nothing/Béatrice et Bénédict. Mallory is a recent honors graduate of The Highland School, where she served as captain of the district prize winning robotics team along with captaining the lacrosse and field hockey teams. Mallory's future plans include attending Allegheny College, where she will double major in Theater and Environmental Science and continue to play field hockey for the Allegheny Gators.
- [Kirsten Nordland](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/kirsten-nordland/): Kirsten Nordland is a rising dramatic artist currently residing in Northwest Ohio. Most recently, Nordland joined the Toledo Opera Guild as a chorister for the 2023-2024 season. Her most recent credits include Marcellina in Le nozze di Figaro with the Trentino Music Festival in Trentino, Italy; Nerone in L'incoronazione di Poppea at Bowling Green State University; and the Stewardess in Jonathan Dove's Flight at NUOVA Vocal arts. Nordland is also an avid social activist & digital portrait artist. She strives to combine her passions to help serve the longevity of opera.

An Army brat, Justin lived in Louisiana, Texas, Missouri, Hawaii, and Tennessee before high school. After studying at Longwood University, he moved to Northern Virginia and has performed in Art of Murder, Nightfall with Edgar Allan Poe, Finding Neil Patrick Harris, and Madame Quixota’s Last Words. - [James McKenzie](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/james-mckenzie/): A resident of Arlington, Virginia, James McKenzie is a retired member of The United States Army Band "Pershing’s Own." As a trumpet player, his duties included sounding "Taps" in Arlington National Cemetery for fallen soldiers. He has also participated in inaugurations, concerts, and other military ceremonies and events at the White House, the Pentagon, the National Mall, and throughout the country and overseas. James holds music degrees from Sam Houston State University and Rice University. After catching the acting bug, he graduated from the Honors Conservatory Program of The Theatre Lab School of Dramatic Arts, where he was in productions of As You Like It, and David Mamet's Reunion. James was previously seen as Leonato in Grassroots Shakespeare DC's production of Much Ado About Nothing.
- [Jacob Joseph Rivera](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/jacob-joseph-rivera/): New York tenor Jacob Rivera earned the Master of Music degree from Purchase College's Conservatory of Music. While at Purchase, he portrayed Ezekiel Cheever in The Crucible, King Kaspar in Amahl and the Night Visitors, Liberto/Lucano in L'incoronazione di Poppea, Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni, Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi and The Sorceress in Dido and Aeneas. During the summer of 2022, Jacob appeared with Miami Music Festival in Bizet's Carmen (El Remendado) and Britten's A Midsummer Night's Dream (Flute). He has won Gold Prize in the Contemporary Modern Division in the World Class Music Awards, Fourth Place in the International London Music Competition, and Third Place at the Lyra New York International Art Song Competition. He was also a Finalist this year at the The International Vienna Competition where he earned an Honorable Mention, and he is a Finalist at the upcoming American Song Prize Competition.
- [Jason Guerrero](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/jason-guerrero/): Jason Guerrero is glad to be returning to SOT as Benvolio and Friar Jean/Romeo Cover. Jason is a Junior Vocal Performance major and Music Composition minor. He uses his musical background to better serve God and his community as a cantor to the Archdiocese of Washington, regularly singing at Annunciation Church, Saint Dominics, the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. As an artist in Opera, Jason recently made his Kennedy Center Debut on the Millennium Stage, as a soloist, singing for selections from La Traviata as Alfredo Nadir in the famous Pearl fishers duet. Before that Jason played Rodolfo in CUA's 2025 production of La Boheme. He appeared as Donald in the Loudoun Lyric Opera's production of Gallantry. Jason is also composer and song writer, having performed original music at such venues and festivals as Flowjam Festival, Annmarie Sculture Gardens Artsfest, and Día De los Muertos DC. Jason has worked with local nonprofit organizations like David’s Tent, Youth With a Mission DC, and One More Plate.
- [Joseph Wilson](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/joseph-wilson/): A resident of Washington, D.C., bass-baritone Joseph Wilson has performed to high acclaim in the United States, Canada, and Italy. Recent highlights include Arts on the Horizon's production of By the Seashore, Prunier in La Rondine, Schaunard in La Bohème with Operavision Academy in Busseto, Italy, and Tinca/Venditore di canzonette in Il Trittico with Opera Niagara. Other roles include Riccardo in I Puritani, Belcore in L'Elisir D'Amore, Argante in Rinaldo, Guglielmo in Le Villi, Rodolfo in La Sonnambula, Giorgio Germont in La Traviata, and Guido Monforte in I Vespri Siciliani. Mr. Wilson has appeared in concert with Maryland Lyric Opera and Piedmont Symphony Orchestra, and he has had the pleasure of working with high profile artist mentors like Richard Bonynge, Jeffrey Gall, and Marco Gandini. - [Danielle Bendjy](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/danielle-bendjy/): Washington, DC based coloratura soprano Danielle Bendjy is a graduate of Harvard College, Cleveland Institute of Music, and Trinity College Dublin. As a professional translator of Spanish, French, Italian, and Portuguese into English, she is as interested in translating opera as she is in performing it. Past roles include Marianne in The New Moon, Amahl in Amahl and the Night Visitors, Isabel in El Capitan, Fanchette in Le Mariage aux lanternes, Monica in The Medium, Clorinda in La Cenerentola, and Königin der Nacht in Die Zauberflöte.
- [Casey Kaleba](https://shakespeareoperatheatre.com/soh-cast-crew/casey-kaleba/): Casey Kaleba founded and runs Tooth & Claw. He has coordinated violence for opera, television, music videos, and more than 400 theatrical productions. That work includes arranging fights at the Guthrie Theatre, Spoleto Festival, Folger Theatre, Signature Theatre, Round House Theatre, Keegan Theatre, Wolf Trap Opera, Avant Bard, Hub Theatre, Washington National Opera, Source Festival, Olney Theatre Center, and Constellation Theatre. A company member with Rorschach Theatre and Brave Spirits Theatre, Casey has staged fights for knights, musketeers, princesses, zombies, wolves, pirates, ninjas, and at least one alien tentacle. Casey has trained with movement artists from across the globe, including Fight Directors Canada, the Society of Australian Fight Directors, British Academy of Stage and Screen Combat, Dueling Arts International, Dell'Arte, Combat Circus, Rapier Wit, and the British Academy of Dramatic Combat. Recently he has served as the audition choreographer for Marvel Universe Live. He holds an MA in Theatre History from the University of Maryland. A Certified Teacher and Fight Director with the Society of American Fight Directors, Casey has taught theatrical combat workshops and courses for a wide range of programs. He has taught at the University of Maryland, Catholic University, University of Mary Washington, Old Dominion University, Chesapeake College, Davidson College, James Madison University, Montgomery College, University of South Carolina, the Virginia Governor's School, and Virginia Theatre Association, as well as scores of high schools, festivals, professional development workshops, libraries, and camps. He has served as a teaching artist for the Shakespeare Theatre, Round House Theatre, English Speaking Union, and Folger Library. Casey has been a guest instructor for Fight Directors Canada and the Nordic Stagefight Society, and an instructor at the Paddy Crean Workshop - the largest international stage combat workshop. Casey is a proud member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society.

The American baritone hails from Washington, District of Columbia. He is a proud alumnus of the Duke Ellington School of the Arts. Recently, he made history by being the first African American nominated by the Vatican courts to receive the prestigious “Medaglia Beato Angelico,” a medallion commissioned by Pope John Paul II, due to his excellent artistic presentation while touring Italy.

Colvin studies voice with an operatic emphasis and has been seen in a multitude of choral and solo concerts in the Northern Virginia area.
