Soprano Jennifer Sin is originally from Fairfax, Virginia and currently lives in Astoria, NY. She has sung Norina (Martina Arroyo Foundation), Zerlina (Martha Cardona Theatre), Susanna, La fee (New York Opera Theatre), Queen of the Night (New York Opera Studio, BASOTI), and various other roles. Jennifer will be singing Nanetta and is excited to be performing in her hometown!
Gregory Stuart has sung/acted with SOT since its inaugural production. He has performed leading roles in operas locally and regionally. A soloist in world premieres of Paul Leavitt’s Cantata Emmanuel, his Magnificat and in premieres of his Requiem in Washington, Paris, at Lincoln Center, NYC and on CD. As an actor he has tread the boards at Spooky Action Theatre, Studio Theatre, three Shakespeare Festivals, Pittsburgh Playhouse, Bay Theatre, Seacoast Repertory Theatre, performed in many musicals including a national tour of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and directed several operas and plays. He’s the Manager of External Affairs for Vocal Arts DC.
Molly Pinson Simoneau, Alice Ford in Falstaff, Shallow in Merry Wives of Windsor, was most recently seen on stage in Reston Community Theater’s 2016 production of Terrence McNally’s Master Class, her performance in which garnered praise from DC Metro Theater Arts for her “gorgeous tone.” Her operatic roles include Giorgetta in Puccini’s Il Tabarro, the Plaintiff in Trial by Jury, and Marianne in Der Rosenkavalier. Molly also performs with the DC Metro Area chapter of Opera on Tap.
Kevin Rockower recently covered the role of Germont for the Martina Arroyo program and performed the role of Robert in Iolanta with Opera Slavica. Other roles include Marcello (Regina Opera Company), and Gianni Schicchi (Penn State Opera Theater). Kevin has performed in the 32nd Bloomsday on Broadway, with the Gateway Classical Music Society, and has appeared as Walter in the National Tour of Elf. As a songwriter, Kevin has been interviewed by the Wall Street Journal and BBC World News Report.
Kelsey Painter (Fenton, Nym, Robert) performs, teaches, and choreographs throughout the VA/DC/Baltimore area. A company member with Chesapeake Shakespeare, favorite roles include Dromio of Syracuse in Comedy of Errors and Launcelot Gobbo in The Merchant of Venice. She has worked locally with Pumpkin Theatre, Cohesion Theatre Co, Live Action Theatre, Stillpointe Theatre Initiative, Venus Theatre Playshack, and Pallas Theatre. Upcoming roles include Ginger in Zombie Prom with Unexpected Stages.
As a Shakespeare Opera Theatre Associate Artist, Mezzo Soprano Natalie Naudus continues to entice audiences with her “luscious” voice and “delightful” character portrayals (Metropolitan Arts Reviews/Shakespeareances.com) In the 2016 season, she portrayed Mistress Quickly in Falstaff with SOT. Other recent engagements include Mother in Amahl and the Night Visitors, Mercédès in Carmen, Beggar Woman in Sweeney Todd, Mere Marie in Dialogues des Carmélites, Alisa in Lucia di Lammermoor, La Badessa in Suor Angelica and Announcer in Gallantry. Ms. Naudus made her European debut with Germany’s Mittelsächsisches Theater Freiberg as Jenny Hildebrand/Nursemaid in Kurt Weill’s Street Scene. While a Young Artist with Opera Theater of Pittsburgh, she created the character of Rudy in the world premier of the acclaimed comic opera series Night Caps.
Thomas Richman, Robin in Falstaff, has performed with Lorin Maazel in La Boheme (ragazzo solo), L’enfant et les sortilèges (homework), and Carmen. Thomas also was the Treble in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Requiem, with Lorin Maazel, Joyce El-Khoury and Tyler Nelson.
A soprano from Washington D.C., Stephanie Lynn Miller graduated from The Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University, obtaining a Masters as well as a Graduate Diploma in Vocal Performance. Recent performances include: Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro with American University Opera Workshop, Nannetta in Falstaff with Peabody Conductor’s Orchestra, Trio in Bernstein’s Trouble in Tahiti, Princess/No.1 in Transformations, Barbarina in Le nozze di Figaro, and Flora in Le mariage aux lanternes.
Elliot Matheny, Ford in Falstaff, is a DC based Baritone who has sung with The Washington Ballet, The Castleton Festival, The In Series, Opera Belcantanti, Riverbend Opera, and Loudoun Lyric Opera. Originally from Las Vegas, Elliot was a young artist of Opera Las Vegas, Spokane Opera, and The Castleton festival – where he sang in several operas under the baton of Mo. Lorin Maazel. Elliot has studied with prestigious teachers and coaches such as Denyce Graves, James Morris and Neil Shicoff.
Elena Dolores, Meg Page in Falstaff, Make-up Artist and Hair Supervisor, is a Dramatic Mezzo who last performed as Ursule in Beatrice & Benedict, Shakespeare Opera Theatre’s first production. A review of the opera in the Washington Post stated, “[Elena Dolores] held her own and anchored two good ensemble numbers.” She is very excited to be performing once again with the company in the role of Meg Page.
