Soprano Alicia Woodberry has been praised as “an insightful musician and a captivating performer.” She recently starred as Gertrude in Hansel und Gretel with Shakespeare Opera Theatre and as Miss Titmouse in Too Many Sopranos with Cedar Rapids Opera, where she was a Young Artist. She is delighted to take the stage as Mimì in La Vie de Bohème.
Alicia is also partnering with the Cathedral Choral Society this season, performing in Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, Brahms’ Requiem, and Smyth’s Mass in D. Her versatility is highlighted by her collaborations with composer Garth Baxter, including a concert and a recording project of his art songs.
Alicia earned 2nd place in the 2023 NATS Mid-Atlantic Regional Competition and has performed as a young artist with Miami Music Festival, Cedar Rapids Opera, Young Artists of America, Bel Canto in Tuscany and more. As a dedicated educator, she teaches at Opal Music Studio in Alexandria, VA. Alicia holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the Peabody Institute, and currently resides in the DC area where she studies with soprano Elizabeth Daniels and coach Joy Schreier.
