Punctuated by Berlioz’s masterful musical treatment of the story, Bèatrice et Bènèdict, SOT takes this romantic tragicomedy to soaring new heights! Don Pedro, Prince of Aragon, and his retinue have returned from battle to the welcoming estate of Leonato in Messina, Italy. Waiting there are two gentlewomen who have great expectations, but the Prince’s malcontent brother has a plot for revenge that threatens to destroy all of their hopes of happiness.
